God Will Not Fail Nor Forsake Us

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. – Deut 31: 6

What words of encouragement from Moses to the people. We, too, can take these words as we move Heavenward and Homeward. He will not fail nor forsake us.What words of encouragement from Moses to the people. We, too, can take these words as we move Heavenward and Homeward. He will not fail nor forsake us.

We came to Colombia before the annual conference for a near ninety-day visit. As our visas had not been issued in Venezuela we had to resort to this special permit.

We were able to help in the special meetings before the annual Easter conference here in Sincelejo. Other full-time workers also helped, including Gelson Villegas, Jose Gregorio Yepez, Fermin Gomez, Willians Alcala, Len Walker and Jose Luis Batioja. Willians came with Kylie and the family on part of a ministry visit to the United States and Colombia. We had the joy of having them with us for several weeks.

The conference went off well with about 250 people present. The meetings started on Thursday afternoon and finished Sunday lunchtime. For many it is the only time in the year that they get the opportunity to visit another assembly. We were pushed for accommodation and of course the food needs, but the Lord provided for all.

Since that time, we have been visiting a few country assemblies and preaching points. We have also been visiting doctors and getting treatment for different things. Here there is good attention and medicine readily available, as opposed to Venezuela where there is a shortage of medicines.

Although the country of Venezuela is in chaos there is complete liberty to preach the gospel and to gather to the LORD’s Name.  God is working in the saving of souls and the edifying of the assemblies. The assembly of Yaracal (where we live in Venezuela) recently held the monthly ministry meeting for the State of Falcon. Nearly 30 assemblies were represented, and over 600 meals were served to attendees.God-willing, we will return to Venezuela on the 5th of June and stay until the 1st of August. After this we will return to Australia for medical treatment.

Keep praying for the work, workers and the believers in general.
