For many years you could say that our main ministry role is discipling the nations. This is especially so in 2017.
From February to July, Andrew and a team of experienced missionaries are conducting the CrossTrain program. CrossTrain, a six-month intensive cross-cultural missions course delivered by GLO, has five trainees from three countries (Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan). The primary goal of CrossTrain is to assist missionary candidates to get fit and ready for cross-cultural missionary service throughout South East Asia, including closed access countries.
In February Andrew taught Bible Study Methods at CrossConnect in Tasmania. In August he plans to return and deliver training on World Mission. This year CrossConnect, a nine-month intensive discipleship and ministry course, has 14 students from nine countries (Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Mongolia, Nepal, PNG, Singapore and South Korea).
In May Andrew led a 14-day Encounter Mission Trip, consisting of six team members, to India. In June he visited Malaysia for ten days, serving as the key note speaker for two church camps. Whilst this is the last of Andrew's overseas trips, he has a number of interstate trips planned for the remainder of 2017.
Whilst Andrew serves the wider church, Donna focuses much of her disciple-making energies on our local church and the surrounding community. Each week she continues to facilitate a ladies’ prayer group, coordinates the after-school Kids’ Club program, leads KYB, plus mentors a number of ladies. In June she is organising a Women's Retreat for our home church, and in July she will be the key note speaker at a Women's Retreat hosted by a nearby church.
In total these ministries, plus others, have brought Andrew and Donna in direct contact with at least a dozen nationalities, all with the express purpose of equipping them to make disciples of the nations. We would value your ongoing prayers as we continue to serve. Please pray for multiplication in Australia and across South East Asia.
