Remember: PRAYER MATTERS
Byron and Lyn Johannesen (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
Praise God that the contact base in Bugalagrande is growing. Pray for a disgruntled brother to listen to reason and not be divisive. Pray that a house church will form in Roldanillo.
Pray for a good outcome to the second round of presidential elections on 17 June. Pray for those potentially affected by problems with the Ituango hydroelectric project. Pray that the dam won’t overflow.
Phil and Sandy Jones (Mexico, DPG Day 5)
Pray for God’s sustaining grace and strength to be upon Sandy during her final radiotherapy sessions. Pray that she won’t need any more chemotherapy.
Paul and Daphne Chapman (Venezuela, DPG Day 6)
Praise God that Paul and Daphne have renewed their residential visas; pray that they will get their renewed ID cards soon. Continue to pray for Venezuela and its economic and political woes.
David and Robin Ware (Cambodia, DPG Day 7)
Pray for the school community at HOPE International School. They will be closing one of their smaller campuses in Phnom Penh. These types of events are always hard on the Christian workers as they deal with the various changes this brings about, e.g. relocating to the main campus, making other arrangements for their children’s education, and the finishing up of a community that has been in place since 2011. Pray also for the staffing needs for their main campus in Phnom Penh and the second campus in Siem Reap to the north of the country. Both are in need of qualified teachers in primary and secondary schools.
Richard and Linda Buchanan (QLD, DPG Day 8)
Praise God that Richard’s lost backpack was found and returned with everything still inside. They’ve already come back from Greece.
Jason and Kim Job (Timor-Leste, DPG Day 12)
Praise God that after five weeks of negotiations MAF have the paperwork to fly the second plane in Timor now. Praise God for His protection over Sam on the weekend. Excited about his friend’s party, he ran across the road without looking and ran into an oncoming motorbike. He was shaken up and has a bruised knee, but it could have been so much worse! Praise God that home-schooling has been easier recently. Pray for wisdom for Jason and Kim as they parent Sam. Pray for the new government of Timor-Leste that is currently being decided. Pray for wise and godly leaders who will rule with humility and equality. Pray with Jason and Kim that their hearts will not grow hard towards the tremendous poverty and need that is around them. Pray that God will lead them and guide them how to best be salt and light in this nation.
Wendy Strachan (Specialist, DPG Day 22)
Pray for Wendy’s mum who is deteriorating in her health. Pray that she is comfortable. Pray for Wendy during this difficult time.
