Remember: PRAYER MATTERS
Fiona Thomas (Cambodia, DPG Day 7)
Pray for Fiona as she prepares to return on furlough in mid-June. Pray that she will have a blessed time back with family, friends and supporters.
Jason and Kim Job (Timor-Leste, DPG Day 12)
Pray for Jason as he heads to Thailand on Saturday 28 April for a MAF Leaders conference. Pray for Kim and Sam as they remain in Dili. Pray for protection, safety and peace over all as they are separated for the week. Pray for favour in the eyes of various government departments as paperwork is submitted to allow a new MAF plane into Timor-Leste. (This is to replace the one that relocated to Arnhem Land earlier this year.) Praise God for two pallets of donations that arrived recently with the help of Rotary Australia. Praise God for the items that came and for the relationships that can be built as they are distributed to those in need.
David and Stacie (Restricted Access, DPG Day 23)
The Promise Schools in Myanmar urgently need suitably qualified Christian teachers — especially 'western-trained' and experienced, for positions in the primary years and for specialist subjects in secondary years. Short-term or longer-term commitments are welcome.
Colin and Marg (Restricted Access, DPG Day 24)
Pray for those responsible for looking for a new location for the international school at which Marg teaches. Pray for a convenient and large location with good public transport. Pray for wisdom and faith for the school leadership as they make an important decision in the coming weeks.
Luke and Dania (Preparing for Restricted Access, DPG Day 28)
Praise God that Luke and Dania have their visas and airline tickets and are saying goodbyes before leaving for the field on 1 May. Pray for them as they have more intensive language learning in the year ahead (they have already done some study) and as they culturally acclimatise longer-term in an area they have visited before. Pray for them to find a suitable apartment and to build strong relationships. Pray for them to have wisdom and the Lord’s guidance as they decide on what business venture to be involved in later on.
Kara McLAUGHLIN (President Ave) is serving with Hands at Work in South Africa (DPG Day 2).
Andrew and Carolyn SMITH (Blaxland) have joined the Logos Hope which is in drydock in Mexico. Andrew is the ship’s Chief Electrical Officer (Specialist, DPG Day 22)
These items are sourced from emails and other communications received from cross-cultural workers.
The workers are identified by the day number in the current AMT Daily Prayer Guide.
