15PRAYER MATTERS

WEEKLY PRAYER UPDATES

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

-  Colossians 4:2

Remember: PRAYER MATTERS

Gary and Louise Bryar (Brazil, DPG Day 4)
Sorry for the typo in PM18.10 — they celebrated their 50th not 60th wedding anniversary.

Gail Thomson (Colombia, DPG Day 5)
Pray that Gail will get her energy back soon after recovering from a viral infection.

Phil and Sandy Jones (Mexico, DPG Day 5)
Praise God that Sandy is recovering very well, with a clean wound after the stitches were removed. Pray that the pathology results will be good and pray for the doctors to have wisdom in determining her future treatment.

Ian and Leann Buckley (Nepal, DPG Day 9)
Pray for a Badi school they recently visited. Pray that the children will continue to be educated and that they can be transformed by the gospel. Pray for a nine-year-old boy who is being treated for a neglected large burn to his thigh. Thank God it’s not infected, but the path to recovery will be significant. Praise God the Sangachowk Church land was purchased in mid-February.

John and Kathy Harris (Netherlands, DPG Day 14)
Praise God that Safe Haven’s renovations are completed, and it is taking its first residents (the first woman moved in on 7 March). Pray for Marije as she leads this ministry. Pray for John as he teaches Thousand Hills’ leadership course, and for Kathy as she teaches English to four students. Pray for John and Kathy as they plan for home assignment. They will be in Brisbane in June, Sydney in July, and Melbourne in August. If you would like them to speak at your church/home group, please email John at .

Gavin and Janet Petersen (Portugal, DPG Day 15)
Pray for the GBU students who had two outreach events last week. Praise God for positive responses — pray for Diogo, Mario and Maria who especially showed interest. Pray for those with whom Gavin and Janet are doing Discovery Bible Studies — Regina and Pedro (Sunday) and João (Wednesday). Pray that Pedro and João (who’s blind) will continue to ask questions and have a better understanding of the gospel. Pray for the nine students at the SPEAK Basic English class where Janet and Gavin are the volunteer teachers. Pray for growth of friendships and opportunities to share Christ. Pray for Idalena, Ferdinando and Vera who are unsaved, and who attend the English class in Claudio’s home on Thursday evenings. Pray for Janet as she meets with Alcinda; pray that a Discovery Group may be started in her home soon.

Les and Kay Loader (PNG, DPG Day 17)
Pray for Les as he travels tomorrow to PNG to oversee the distribution of materials (nails, hammers, rice, bibles), much of which was bought by Walter Wetzel (PNG, DPG Day 18). Gordon Cowell (AMT, DPG Day 29) and Les will be helping CBM set up the rejuvenated wholesale depot in Lae. Les will also meet Shane Ginn (QLD, DPG Day 19) in Port Moresby to plan construction.

Simon and Anni (Restricted Access, DPG Day 25)
Praise God that Simon has finished commentaries (written by him in the local language) on James, Galatians, I and II Timothy, and he’s working on I John. Pray that Anni will adjust well next year to leaving her children in NZ when she and Simon return overseas. Alan is working well in the clock shop and Tania and Rachael are studying Travel & Tourism and Primary teaching, respectively.

Russ and Ruth Keanalley (ex-Thailand, DPG Day 26)
Please pray for the opening of the Phrasiri church building this Friday (23rd March) at 5pm Thailand time. Over 100 guests are expected to attend, many from Korea and some from Japan, as well as from various places in Thailand, especially the Phuket assembly. Pray that God will be glorified, and that the building will be used for His glory.
