Remember: PRAYER MATTERS
Ian and Leann Buckley (Nepal, DPG Day 9)
Pray for Ian as he speaks at the Banepa church on Saturday 23rd, the Sankhu church on Christmas Eve and the Sangachowk church on Christmas Day. Pray for an encouraging time for those reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas. He’ll take devotions at the Teachers’ Conference in Pokhara starting on 30 December. Pray for the completion of the new guesthouse facilities within the coffee shop building. Pray for safe travel between Dolalghat or Dhulikhel and Kathmandu, in order for Ian to do back-translation work on ‘God Has Spoken’ and for Leann to attend Nepali language classes.
Farid and Parila Qurbanpur (QLD, DPG Day 11)
Praise God for Farid to have opportunities to share with others about the gospel and the importance of having a relationship with Christ. Pray that those who have been prompted by the Spirit to follow the Truth will have courage and wisdom, especially in the face of opposition and persecution.
Daniel and Candide Weekes (France, DPG Day 14)
Praise God for their safe travel in Australia during their furlough and for a safe return to France. Praise God for the opportunities He gives them to talk about Him to neighbours and friends. Recently Dan discussed with neighbour Renaud about baptism, faith, religion and Jesus. Pray for Renaud and Sophie to come to know Jesus. Pray for more opportunities to talk about Christ during Christmas. Praise God for those who are keen to know more about the Bible and God. Praise God that local Christians ran an Alpha course while Dan and Candide were away. Pray for the Catholics to come to know Jesus as their personal Saviour and Lord. Praise God that most of the people who were involved in the alpha course want to keep meeting and learn more. It looks like Candide will be part of a ‘praying mothers’ group and Dan will lead a fortnightly Bible study — pray for Candide and Dan to be anointed with wisdom in their responsible roles.
Simon and Anni (Restricted Access, DPG Day 25)
Praise God that Simon has finished the commentary draft of 2 Timothy ahead of schedule. Pray that Rachael will get into the primary teaching course she wants, and pray for Alan as he prepares to marry in July next year.
This is the last GPM for 2017. May all readers have a blessed Christmas and a happy 2018.
