Richard and Anne Hoyt (Chad, DPG Day 1)
Pray for V, Lydia’s husband, to have a broken and contrite heart. Pray that he will avoid violence. Praise God that V has allowed Lydia and the children to live separately from him.
Gary and Louise Bryar (Brazil, DPG Day 4)
Praise God that Gary continues in good health, and Louise’s arthritis is improving. Praise God that, as a result of the monthly Children’s Rally at Jardim Santana Church, Jasmin and her parents, Mara and Nilton, have accepted Christ. Praise God for the salvation of Djinalva; pray that her husband Marcus will be saved too.
Byron and Lyn Johannesen (Colombia, DPG Day 4)
Praise God for four baptisms recently. Pray for students to behave appropriately at the Institute. Pray for Byron as he has a nose operation on 3 October, and that he will make a speedy recovery. Pray for Byron and Lyn to find a suitable replacement vehicle.
Phil and Sandy Jones (Mexico, DPG Day 5)
Praise God for the opening of a second Renovarte café, located in a food park in front of the university. Pray that closer relationships will develop with students and staff. praise God there are now 6-7 young people coming regularly to ‘rendezvous’, an evangelistic Bible study. Pray that many will be saved through this ministry. Pray for the growing Renovarte team: Oscar, Ere, Miguel, Alicia, Max, Raquel, Luis Fernando, Merari, Romi, Sandy and Phil. Pray for Sandy’s thyroid condition to be brought under control soon. Pray for Romi, who has started year 10, as she deals with teen issues. Pray for Phil and Sandy as they model Christ to Romi and Joshua. Pray for Phil and co-workers as they donated some equipment and basic needs to a Christian rescue brigade last week, to help post-earthquake. Pray that their visit will have strengthened connections with the local church and believers in Mexico City.
Ian and Leann Buckley (Nepal, DPG Day 9)
Our deepest condolences to Ian and Leann on the passing of Ian’s father last Saturday.
Bill and Nicoletta Quinert (Italy, DPG Day 14)
Pray for refugees in Greece, Iraq and Syria, and for those believers who have been able to help.
Woody and Bev Baker (PNG, DPG Day 16)
Praise God that Woody could attend Wycliffe’s Trauma Healing course in August. Pray that he will have the opportunity to lead the course in a small group format.
Les and Kay Loader (PNG, DPG Day 17)
Praise God for the replacement of faulty electrical installations at Guala. Pray that the marriage seminars Les conducted in Guala, Kelabo and Pori will lead to positive change.
Kevin and Eloise Dyer (Specialists, DPG Day 19)
Pray for those affected by hurricanes in the southern USA and the Caribbean. Pray for their safety and protection from disease and lawlessness.
This is the last GPM using the 16/17 DPG. From next week the days will be from the 17/18 DPG. Also, a reminder that news received after noon on Mondays will go into the next GPM, unless urgent, when it will be emailed separately.
