Les and Kay Loader (PNG, DPG Day 17)
Pray for Les as he heads to Port Moresby today then goes to Hela province tomorrow, where he will be until 13 September. he’s doing building assessments with two Brisbane tradesmen, then he’ll conduct marriage seminars at three locations.

Simon and Anni (Restricted Access, DPG Day 25)
Pray for Simon as he works on a commentary of 2 Timothy. Pray for Simon and Anni as they visit Melbourne and Adelaide in early September. Pray that this will be a time of refreshment and encouragement. Pray for Simon to travel safely as he visits remote churches in September.

Russ Keanalley (Retired – Thailand, DPG Day 27)
Urgent prayer is requested for the Bangkok Phrasiri church/assembly over the fallout from an incident during the building of the new church building. A Christian organisation called NIBC has a mix of local workers as well as expatriates carrying out the construction and a section of wall from the fifth floor level fell during high winds and damaged a neighbour’s house. A claim is being made for disproportionate compensation, due largely to the fact that some safety procedures were not adhered to and this has compromised the position of NIBC.

Pray for Andrew Chan (AMT, Day 29) and his son Alex to recover soon from respiratory infections. Pray that other AMT staff will stay healthy. Pray that Andrew’s Dad, who has severe Alzheimer’s, can get aged care placement very soon (just awaiting government paperwork), and pray that he has no more falls in the meantime. Pray that the transition from independent living to care will be smooth for Dad. Pray for Mum to have the physical and emotional strength she needs.

DPG update: The final draft is almost finished. The big changes this year are the inclusion of church pastors and the exclusion of para-church organisations. Please note that cross-cultural workers who are now working from state offices, or are state representatives, have been moved to their respective states in the DPG.

These items are sourced from emails and other communications received from cross-cultural workers.
The workers are identified by the day number in the current AMT Daily Prayer Guide.
